Independence Day Security increased at Delhi's airport and Metro Stations



Security has been increased at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) and on the Delhi Metro Stations, Additional Security forces has been put on duty on IGI Airport and metro stations. IGI Airport will remain operational while Metro stations will be closed from 14th 2 PM to 15th 2 PM

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), along with Delhi Police and other central security forces and agencies, have tightened their vigil for these two public facilities with additional manpower having been put on duty.

CISF has also begun extensive passenger and vehicular checks at the domestic and international terminals at IGIA.

Surprise security checks and profiling of passengers and commuters have also been intensified to check for possible trouble-makers, the official said.

The agencies have also deployed additional teams in civil clothes which will monitor the crowds by mingling with them, they said.
